This is an easy tech, most people could probably say just silicone or glue the bullet to the wheel but I wanted to make it easily removable. BTW this is on a 53 chevy stock wheel. First I removed the stock center cap and horn ring. Sorry for the crappy edges on the adapter I was in a type of rush with bad tools. Anyway I took the center cap and made a cutout from it, then transferred that cutout onto sheet metal and came up with this adapter. After cutting the circle. I notched the edges to fit in and then drilled the wholes to mount it on the horn ring. The big center whole is to clear the steering wheel nut. I then made the "bridge" over the nut about 1/2 inch high and 1 inch wide.I drilled a hole in the center and screw a stud in from the top about 1 1/4 inch tall. The stud is just from one of those dry wall anchors. I welded from underneath and ground it smooth. This was just so I didn't get slag on the threads. The new adapter fit perfectly in the horn ring and i mounted it in between horn ring spacers. Just make sure the stud is centered and it is an easy way to screw on a cal-custom 2 1/2 inch bullet to your stock wheel.
