So I'm playing with a 1941 1.5 ton Ford, I pulled the steering wheel because it was crispy and planned to use an Ansen aluminum hub to put a different wheel on it, at least temporarily.

The aluminum hub wouldn't seat down far enough to get the nut started.

I tried a 30-31 Model A wheel and it fit oddly enough.

I had wondered if the larger truck shaft was larger but when the Model A wheel fit on it made me wonder if the aluminum adapter was off. It doesn't look buggered though.

Anyone know these things for certain? Maybe i need a deeper taper on the adapter?

I think you know the answer.
If the "A" wheel fits & the adapter will not, doesn't that tell you the Ansen part is not correct.
