  7. Speed has never been the problem, that was sorted out very early, its the handling and braking that took decades to catch up to the performance of the cars!

    I think I see an external fuel tank...but I don't think that narrows it down much considering the year!
    Is that a FULL Elliptic leaf spring I see off to the right?
    4 people though...ALL in a race car???
    Hmmm...I wonder were 2 or 3 spectators involved instead of passengers? Bet there was a lot of debris flying down the track...including the engine!

    I wonder could such an accident be researched thru other old news papers or race records?
    Like to know what the car was!
