  9. This post, and the recent ones from Lucky77 and Ebbsspeed are really moving, people are really stepping up and being supportive when they are really needed. A good example to us all.

I never really cared that much for Leno but this shows a side of him I've never seen before. The car looks as if its very well done. I applaud Jay Leno for attempting to help his employees family.

Portables. We use them in our truck repair shop. You can link as many as you need together. Lift a tractor and trailer as one unit. Really cool lifts but not cheap.

We were involved with the shoot that was used to promote his show on MSNBC. It was at El Mirage, and that day it was tough. Humidity rolled in with high temps. 100-105. It was a full day from 7 in the morning. While we were doing practice runs, Jay was shooting close-ups and dialog shots. At lunch time did Jay bail for the air-conditioned motorhome? Nope, he sat in the outside mess area and eat with the crew and the car people. After lunch it was time for our time on camera, which included Jay. At the end of the day around 3 there was a large static group scene and at the end Jay went to everyone and shook their hand and thank them for being there and helping out.

Wow ,I'm glad now that this was not deleted. After posted it I questioned weather I show have .I figured it was a outstating gesture on his part for the deceased car owner's family , not expecting any reward .it was a moving video !! gene

  20. Cool, I've been on sets for 25 years, and have only seen a handful of celebs do that.

Jay cut his fee for doing the show at SEMA and HiHelix has obviously never watched the videos that include more than a few HAMB friendly rides.

"....a side of him you have never seen before" ... interesting, since this is pretty much the only side of Jay Leno that there is.

No offense to this site but that's a screwed up way of judging the man or his television/web shows. Not watching his show is your loss. I might be wrong but I thought there was a post years ago that Jay Leno at least visited the HAMB and may be an "anonymous" member.

Jay Leno is a riot....loved the episode he had with Tim Allen racing each other in the 'wifes' car....hilarious! Most people would never know ''anything'' about those older, unique cars he keeps in his possession, and shows off....I give him massive points for his garage and automobile outlook, and keeping the knowledge in the public eye with a few laughs.....one of the few tv garage shows I'll watch!

And you have a very narrow view of the world.
Almost makes one feel sorry for you. Almost.
    Your loss.
