I tore apart my T5 gearbox (Camaro/S10) in order to clean up the casing and put in new seals and found out the main shaft and cluster gear bearings are slightly pitted and shows signs of overheating.

Does anyone have workshop manual on these boxes?
It's a WC box so it has conical roller bearings that needs to be shimmed.
The places I have found on the internet talks of Ford boxes, which I suppose makes no difference. But the main difference is that some places talk of shimming to a certain end play while others talk of loading the bearings in order to get a certain torque resistance of the shaft.

    So what is it??
    End play or pre-load??

Sorry, no manual, but I've always used endplay. I also think I've got a few of those shims around somewhere - lemme know if you need some & what sizes.
