I have a nice T spring I think I'll use in the rear of my A roadster. I know that 6 or 7 leaves is about right for an A spring on a roadster, but what about a T spring? Do I remove a leaf or two or not?

if you are going to do that, are you running shocks? (what kind of engine?)

should you choose to remove 1 leaf, remove the next to largest leaf. if that is not enough, remove the next to smallest leaf.

Hopefully lever shocks and probably the old standby SBC. Sounds like maybe it will just be a trial and error deal.

  4. check the thickness on that spring compared to the a spring, i hear they are 1/4inch smaller.

Yes they are a 1/4 less in width. Shouldn't be a problem in a A rear X member once bolted down tight.

You could also swap out the very top leaf with a Model A rear leaf if you are concerned about the 1/4 play if the X member seat.
