T deck lid fix up. pictures.

    i recieved this lid as you see it in the first picture. the customer did not really want to reskin the entire thing so with that in mind i did what i could.

    Wouldn't it have been easier to make the whole skin and install it? I find it interesting that a customer is going to tell you how to repair something. Now you have a weld down the middle of the lid that you have to finish.

    I agree with fordcragar, if it were me doing it, I would have advised the owner that itd been easier to skin the whole thing to, then you wouldnt have to worry about warping the line in the middle.

    I would have quoted him a price to do it the way you did that would have been double the cost of entirely re-skinning it.

    Then he could decide. Twice as much for a seam down the middle or a full re-skin for 1/2 the price.

    Sometimes you have to help them make the right choice. :)
