Symptoms of separated ethanol gasoline?

Are we talking ethanol as in E-85 or ethanol as in 10% or less ethanol. I have let the standard stuff that you buy at the gas station set for a year no special precautions in a 5 gallon can outside in the heat and freezing cold and used it. It performed just fine.

One thing that we all have a tendency to do as mechanics, all being the operative word here, is make a mountai out of a mole hill. Dopn't spend you time looking for some bizaarr problem lok at the simple stuff. A 4 stroke engine is simple there are few things that can go wrong with it.

Never look for a 10 dollar cure for a 10 cent problem.
