I've been painting cars and motorcycles since the 60's. Over those years I have accumulated a lot of factory packs of acrylic lacquer that are unopened. I occasionally open up a can and mix it up and paint something in my shop. I'm wanting to clean out my shop and get rid of some of this paint. Would this paint sell at a swap meet or would most people be afraid of it due to it's age. I figured that someone wanting to play with an airbrush or paint a motorcycle might be interested. Any thoughts?

I think some folks might want it. Price will determine.

  3. I would be interested, and could pick it up. Where are you in TN?
PM me with colors and $$ when you get it sorted.

I would be likely to buy if it was priced ' right' at a local meet. And, if the colors were right for my needs. Lacquer is impossible to find locally.

  5. I think anyone who knows that old lacquer is still usable would be interested. You just need to find that person. A couple here are already interested.

  6. The people who know won't be afraid of it. I have purchased lacquer a time or two when the price was right and I had money no problem.

I appreciate the responses. Guess I'll get out my color chip book and try to catalog what I have.

I guess the Redneck Rumble is the next one that is close by. That is, if I can get a space.

If it is still liquid it is probably still sprayable.
