Man Australia really really nails the late 50’s indoor car show east coast vibe in a way that new builds that pop up are almost immediately recognizable as being from Australia.

    Neat roadster man!

Thank You Very Much. That shot ticks a lot of my boxes.
Channeled. sectioned shell, headlamps up, turnsignals, chrome backing plates, functional but
not overdone nerfs, painted underneath parts, cycle fenders, cone disc covers, dirty tires;), whitewalls, no boards, bobbed rear fenders, white steering wheel, slight tilt & tinted w/shield.
And, And a working folding top.
    YEP it's all there.

Credit Custom Car Chronical- 1958 Hartford Auto Rama Show.
That was THE show on the East Coast in the 50's and 60's.
Went there as a kid in 1965, my oldest brother ( who is now 82) took me.
I was 6 years old at the time and I remember it clearly.
It scarred me ( in a good way) for life.

    A must read Joey......

Holy shit CornCob what a link! Dual scott blown flathead with possibly injection in a pickup is one of the least holy cow cars in that spread. That’s really saying something!

My old 32 Roadster that was built in the 50's in California found its way to Australia. A guy by the name of Mike Nichols has it now with a cool collection of customs and hot rods. He has several Barris cars, truck and "hot Rods" in his collection. Gary Bisel owned the car before me when he lived in Newport Beach. I bought it in 1967 and kept it for about 15 years in South Bend Indiana. Then I sold the car back to Gary. He took the car back to the west coast. Eventually the car ended back in Elkhart Indiana and when the owner passed away it got sold on -line to Nichols. Ray Schuler is a cousin of Bisel's. Schuler runs Ray's Rods.

Neat photo! It looks to me like the roadster was putting in work hauling that little trailer behind it, and is that a canted quad headlight 40 Ford across the aisle?
