SW speedo drive gear/350 turbo

Can someone help me out? I`ve got a rebuilt 350 turbo in my `40 coupe...

I installed a new Stewart-Warner speedometer...It shows way too fast.

I havn`t checked to see which colored gear I have in this tranny, but I know there were several different ones used..

I`m running 255/75/15 rear tires; they measure about 28 1/2 to 29 inch in diameter...

Has someone else gone through this lately?

any help will be much appreciated!

If you know your rear end gear ratio and the tire height ... there are charts on the internet to help you figure out the correct driver/driven ratio. I like to use this one
