We have added a Straight Axle Eliminator this year , so this should be fun to watch. Any straight axle streetrod, gasser , pickup ,vintage dragster, T bucket will be eligible to run. Must pass NHRA tech for the quarter mile. Dial -in format. If you know anyone with this type of car please tell them about this event. We are looking for a sponsor for this eliminator. If you have a local business , or a national one for that matter, we could use your help. What we need is a product or cash award for the winner. we'll make sure you get as much publicity as we can. Hey, Dave The way I see it, we'll probably get 10 -15 cars, ranging from Shakey's 9 second ride to some real vintage 14-15 second stuff. Are you suggesting that I run them heads up? We will have a couple of heads up runs for Shakey, BTW.
How you run things is really up to you, but if I wanted input on how to run things I'd ask the racers who would be there. My thought is that this is all about having fun, and people who like old-style cars tend to like old-style racing.
