After a lazy owner period im at it again.
Changing all the brake lines and hoses, also had some problems with the rear drums hitting the Shields.
Bougnt some axle shims from JobLot and a friend of mine will help me turn the edge of the drums down a bit.
sadly i got no fun pics to show.

I was missing som e-brake parts and after some search Joblot had some parts but not all.
Found all the parts just now (exept the clips) on eB#y, cost alot but original Ford parts feels good.
So now i just have to wait a week or 2 to get them.

I have a 32 tank on my 30. It only clears the ground 6 inches. Kind of worry about it.

This is a really great 29, At least you will be able to drive it while
you continue to improve it. The work never ends.

Did a mount for the e-brake handle today.
I will use half of the original e-brake mecanics so now i got to find some short e-brake wire to use between the brakes and original strut (se last pic).

Nice job preserving that little slice of Americana. Weird, but wide back rims (without the full caps) are kind of growing on me.... thanks for posting. Go Swedes!

:D For that wire that you need, you might try a marine supply,or check out the local airport for an aircraft repair station for some excellent quality wire at reasonable prices,if they have a bits and pieces bin.
    Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

Some more work done on the e-brake.
I used wires from a Volvo Amazon that fit really good.
Had to cut the metal end off to get the wire to fit the Ford backing plate.

Used the original mount on the wishbone.

There was a ball in the front end of the wire so i took a rod and drilled a 4mm hole for the wire and then a 10mm hole half way for the ball.
Then i cut a 4mm thread so i could mount the wire.

Welded the mount (just tacked on the pic) on the original brake strut.
Ive just done the drivers side but it seems to work great.

Made a new floor today, the old one was to far gone.
Some used Engine oil made the shiny yellow alittle darker.

Your right, but it was the only thing i could get locally with the right thickness.
This floorboards will work as a template when i find the right material.
I will try to find something that isent brand new so it fits the rest of the car.

So, now the car has gone thru all the tech inspections that is nessesary to get it street legal here.
Got my licenseplates today and now i can drive it on the street.
Its a great feeling that i finally can use it.

There is some stuff i need to do, the rear axle has 4,11 gears (as i was told the pickups has).
My plan is to change it to a 3,54 or 3,27.
If anyone uses these gears any info would be great.

I may also change the rear wheels to 16 with 7,50 tires.

I have a stock Brookville RPU floorboard that I will send for shipping costs only. You could easily age it to blend with the truck. PM if interested.

Great car and I appriviate the fact that you keep it and preserve it as it is with some improvements. I can feel what it means for you to have it road legal now and ready to cruise it this summer! Good job!

    Thanks!

There are some stuff that i need to fix, for example the front lower shock mounts and the perches are new stuff.
But for now i just want to drive it and enjoy the car thats been in my garage for almost 2 years.

Sadly my rebuilt converted 12v generator wont charge so its at the Electric shop, hope to get i soon so i can get it on the road again.
