Nice job. Looks great. Looks like it came from the factory that way. My wife wants her '51 chopped. Wanna do another one?

Damn, I saw that for sale when at the speed shop last year for the Revolution and dreamed about it for months. I am longer on enthusiasim than bucks these days, after going from rags to riches and back to rags it is a bitch not say F'-it on the sport. But young turks like you encourage me to keep on keepin on. That huffed caddy is the bomb, one less in the shop line up of Caddy mills. Gettin the Jade Idol album done has to be a great feeling, hope you have great sales of it. Thanx for sharing the cool ass chop on the 51. Rockin Austin, one car at a time, A.S.S. RULES! ~sololobo~

The Shoebox chop is super killer! Fake patina? I dont think that really qualifies, you just made the paint look like the rest of the car, it aint like you faked a whole paint job.

Also, the rear window was moved a lot more forward than most chops.

Makes it look like a coupe.

That was one of the first things I noticed when looking at it. I was wondering if it was a coupe to begin with, but the quarter windows looked bigger than they should be for a chop of that size on a coupe.

I like the shit out of it. Very nice work, Bob.

That's what I want somebody to do when they repair the rust through on my car. Nobody seems to get that, though.

In my not-so-humble opinion, I think the '51 the best of Fords 3 year run ('49, '50 & '51), the steering wheel, the dash, the taillights and twin dagmars are all signature items as if this was a one year only style that Ford would not see until the 1957 intro.

  29. That shoe box chop is great!
This is inspiration - I have a '49 and trying to get it drivable this winter.
And man would I like to tackle a chop job on it! About the sime height you did yours....
