How about a 1960 Austin Healy with a 59 AB flathead, triple deuces, big cam, headers and no hood. There was a Datsun 280z 2+2 running a flathead at BVille in the late 80's. I thought that was pretty cool. A 39 trans with a closed driveshaft quickchange With a flathead in an Austin Healy you could piss off the Ford Barn people and the Austin Healy Sporty car people all at one time. I'll have another measure of rum and see if I can come up with some more cool ideas.

My suggestion of 'different and cool' would be one of the big late 30's coupes, Olds, Pontiac, Buick, Dodge, Chrysler, Desoto, etc.

Big, swoopy cars with long hoods and tall, chromed grilles, nice lines and plenty of room inside them.

They're 'modern' enough to have juice brakes, you can install vintage air etc, and have something 'different that's also comfortable.

    Cheers, Glen.

This was something I had planned to go all out on, regretably I ended up selling it
off to buy my Falcon. It's a '62 Humber Supersnipe, just ugly enough to be cool.

I wanna be different, like everyone else!!

There must be a better way to get inspired aside from a topic like this. In an effort to keep it positive (yes, this really is me saying this), I'd advise you to go to a site like www.carsonline.com and start shopping. There was another site that had just about every make/model/year in pictures but I forget the name. You click on a name and it shows all the years, pick a year and it shows all the body styles they have pictures of. "Something kool" is so subjective and impossible to offer back. I think early import bikes are very kool, and I know so many who say they wouldn't piss on one if it was on fire. I love a 59 Elcamino, one of my best friends, an all in car guy, thinks they're ugly and wouldn't have one if you gave it to him. Start lookin, then come back with questions about what you found.
