Anyone know what this fits? Stud spacing looks like 5 3/4" x 5 1/4" bore 1 1/2" castings 38203 and 38204
Yes, it's for a Paxton. No, it's not like the Shelby and Studebaker R3s I've seen. They didn't have the wing nuts. jack vines
spent a few hours googling the part number and looking at other boxes but have not found anything that is the same.
Here's a Studebaker air box. Note the 45-degree inlet at the left front corner and the "R3" nameplate on the top front. Jack Vines
If nothing turns up try here. Craig knows as much about those Paxton units as anyone. http://paradisewheels.biz/power/superchargers/
At one time Paxton made kits for 'popular' cars, not all were sold through OEM users. If I had to guess, I'd say a 'generic' early Mustang application, not a Shelby application. The wing nuts were probably added by a user. These kits also required a 'special' Holley. They featured plastic rather than brass floats (along with some other changes) as the brass ones would collapse under boost.
