Did that picture come from Jim and Alison Lee?
I believe I was thinking of old R&R Auto Electric in Upper Marlboro. A couple of Ridgely Bros. owned it and it was the place to go for starters and generators or to get them tested. A real knowledgeable old school bunch in there. Was sad to see it close as I frequented that place.
...................Not directly, I found it on the internet.
anybody recognize this?
I wasnt here then but this looks cool to me.
..........Never saw one in person, only once on E-Bay.
Well, it's definitely not Linda Vaughn. Oh, oh, you mean the shirt! Seriously, I don't remember seeing one of them.
Anymore Aquasco memorabilia out there? Post it up.
From the July 26, 1968 issue of Drag Times.
Back up. Share your memories of Aquasco. Pictures are a big plus.
Some one posted the pictures on Facebook so I thought I would share with you Lothian D
...........Very cool. Just had to rotate the one 'cause it was hurting my neck trying to read it.
While reading the great thread (blog) that Joey posted about Richmond Dragway, I thought it might be a good time to bring back to the top this one about Aquasco. Please share any memories and/or especially photos from there. Thanks, Don.
Love these photos Don. Thanks.
Post up your Aquasco pictures and/or memories. Thanks.
I once read that it was closed for environmental reasons. I'm not sure what sort of environmental reasons would make the land useless all these years. I went back there a few years ago myself and took some pics. I hadn't seen the place since I went to watch races as a kid. I hope we didn't get a dose of radiation or something.
............If you start glowing in the dark, you'll know why.
back up for the memories
