Stock, 4 1/4 and 5 inch
Nice looking work!
Looks real clean nice work. Don't understand is it 4 1/4 or a 5" chop?
4 1/4 back and 5" front correct?
sorry for confusion forth picture down 4 1/4 inch chop. Not enough went 5
Thanks for clearing that up for me. I'm looking to chop mine 4-5", keep going back and forth. I still have 2-3 months of work before I chop it. Complete the Frame, channel it 4", sub floor and floor then I'll chop it. Right now I say 5".
That's what I thought! 4 just inst enough.....set the tape marks at 5 and start cutting!
That looks awesome. Your Model A just became a Hot Rod!
I'm sold, finally and 5" in 2015 is the number. Thanks for sharing your build!
Somewhere around 4"-5" does appear to be the sweet point.
This is mine with 4 1/2"
4 1/2" looks good too. Ok now I'm between 4 1/2" and 5". Wex65 nice build keep those pictures coming!
What year is your A?
Your car look's great! Nice clean coupe body!
1930. I will start a build thread soon on the car. Rounding up a few more piece's and start assembling!
Have you worked on the front window frame? If so can you tell me the measurement in the middle (center) of the frame inside edge to inside edge. My goal is 7-7 1/4". That will be a determine how much I will chop it. My A is a 31. Thanks
Looks PISSAH Chris- can't wait to see it back on the frame! (and on the road!)I think we're going to have to take next summer off????
I like it.
It's looking like 6 3/4. You may won't to go 4 1/2 if your goal for is 7 inches. Good luck brother
Getting there man! Thank you for all your help and guidance on this project! Would love to be driving summer of 2015! Need to stay focus and put some long hour's in!
Thanks for the effort, I think I will go 4 1/2" that's what I'm looking for. Still a few months away. Looking forward to your build, your off to a great start!
I think 5 looks good, more than that and it starts to look too cartoon-like. 4-5 does seem to be a good amount for A coupes.
Mine is 5", wouldn't want any more.

Car back on frame as a roller with tire size I'm using.
Looks good.. Nice to see one on a model A frame...
Looks really good man. Perfect actually. I did mine 5" too and I think that's the best looking chop for a 30/31. You nailed it.
REAL NICE HOTROD.....
We be cruizin' in 2015, my brother! Nice job( and a tip of the hat to John" I left a friggin' bolt in!" M.)
Looking good, starting to take shape!
Great looking car,I like them chopped but I have had my share of chopped tops and being over 6 foot tall it does make seeing stop lights a problem. HRP
