Here's my latest completion from this past Winter, a '27 Roadster bodied dragster. Body is from Altered States, frame is modified AMT Double Dragster with front suspension from Revell Orange Crate, Potvin front-blown Chevy 409 that I bashed together, Tony Nancy 22JR front wheels & tires and Halibrand rear wheels with AMT parts pack slicks. Paint is Testor's one-coat Fiery Orange.

My newest project is based on an old Revell parts pack Dragmaster frame & body, Model A engine with home made ARDUN head conversion, Tony Nancy front wheels, tires and quick change axle, vintage AMT American rear wheels and AMT parts pack slicks. Still in early development.

Pscott's Impala is nice to see -- making the bright trim looking so good like this is really an accomplishment.
Dennis' two dragsters are why I like modeling. Unusual engines powering retro dragsters and having to fab a lot of parts is such a challenge! When it turns out looking great like these it's a big plus.

Here's a '34 Cabriolet that I finished this past Fall. Started with a Revell body, top and frame then did a lot of kit bashing and fab to come up with a traditional early 50's rod. Way to much to list. Any questions, ask away!

Also finished this '34 Pickup last Fall. Vintage AMT cab, bed, grill on a heavily modified frame using the funky Ala Kart show rod suspension, wheels & tires and a healthy hopped-up flatty.

Thanks for sharing the NNL photos Lyle! Looks like there was a great turnout with some high quality models.

  18. My shots at NNL East was a VERY small sampling of the over-2000 models. It is the largest model car show in the world.

    Thanks, Bob.
This Willys gasser was assembled with an original issue S/W/C kit, which was missing some key pieces (engine, decals, front suspension).

Here something odd that I'm working on. The engine is from a 1/24 Nakajima Rufe float plane from Trumpeter. Body is from flintstone.

Michael that pick up is a cool concept. Not only would I like to see your model finished but I would like to see some crazy gear head make it a reality in steel and aluminum. I saw a 60's vintage chevy pickup on display with a single row radial engine installed horizontally in the pick up bed area a couple of years ago in Spokane Washington. I don't think that they had figured out how to finish the drive line yet.

Such a vehicle would certainly turn heads. The noise would be awesome!
