I must say I quite like the looks of the AR Torque Thrust wheels on these three guys; would You happen to know if these are based on the plated ones available in the Revell ´32 Fords or the non-plated versions found in the AMT ´62 Chevies, and if so, how they might have been finished to arrive at that look? TIA
If chrome ones, the spokes can be painted, if non painted, you can spray aluminum metalizer paint and paint the center darker magnesium paint. You can also have them chromed using a paint system by Alclad or send them to www.chrometechusa.com
It's a kit made by http://ScaleModelingbyChris.com he specializes in dioramas and diorama accessories.
They sure looked like Revell '32 TTs when I first saw these pics this morning. Chrometech USA does nice work if you prep the parts well beforehand. Get all the sanding scratches out and the parts come back beautiful.
Scale is 1.25, sometimes 1.24 gets a look in. You dunno what your'e talkin' about putting me in the same sentence as Lyle Willits Big compliment, thank you. Rod
Right down to the iron stains in the toilet...lol. All you guys do some amazing stuff. Thanks for sharing.
Steve B your Merc looks so amazingly in scale.... the details as the home made window trim and interior window frames make it looks so realistic. And your sense for Custom Car styling is excellent and very realistic. Those bumper guard taillights look so great on this car with a smooth rear fenders. I cant wait to see what you have planned for final paint on this one.
Thanks for putting on and taking those pics realkustoms51, because otherwise it wouldn't have happened! I do like the backend.
Steve does some amazing work. I can personally say his work looks better in person than the pictures also! First time i've seen him on here & I can spot his work a mile away.
Once again I've thought I had some skills and have been seriously humbled by this site. Oh, and the toilet seat should be up and have footprints in bodywork dust leading to it (none around the sink)
x2 ! I finally put some paint on the 48 Ford.Got bigger tires and flaired the skirts.Trunk opened and trimmed."B" posts slanted. Thanks

Great stuff this week! Steve Boutte's work has always had an incredible sense of scale and it's so clean and to the point that the detail and care put into it is easy to overlook. It's a real treat to see a w.i.p. of this Merc. Kit Bash, the '48 is really coming along. The changes made to the tires, the skirt flares, etc. - they all add up to a super fine ride. The work on the trunk is killer. Here's a '40 Ford Coupe I just finished the other day. Hope you all dig it. Thanx for lookin', B.
DAM STEVE!!!! Great looking mercury!! Jerry Quesnel mercury is looking AMAZING!!! Keep showing more progress on it.
