I couldn't have said it better!...I'm sure he'd use the fenders and grill if some of ya'll would send them to him for a cheap price...REAL CHEAP!

 

I agree, I have built a few rat rods before, trust me you won't be happy with it. Take your time find some fenders, you don't even need a hood, they look great without a hood if done right. I was going to go fenderless on my 36 but I am SOOO glad that I didn't now. Pre-war ford trucks are asthetically perfect. ESPECIALLY A 40'. The fact that you have $0 in it means you can spend the money you do have on making it right. Trust me bobber trucks are a FAD and so are RAT RODS.

So guys.... I'm picking up a 1985 Chrysler minivan for FREE, I'm thinking about going topless like a phaeton and fenderless. What would look better, a 1932 shell or Oliver tractor shell? What kind of blankets? I can't decide between Transformers and He-Man....
