Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Mai Ki-Ki, Dec 29, 2003.

  1. Just my stereo is killing my fusebox atm....isnt it possible to run the stereo straight off the battery with an inline fuse? (like the doof doof boys)

Just use big guage wire or something>???

Or is this a DUMB(tm) idea.

if its blowin fuses yeh its probably a good idea to bypass all that 40yr old shitty holden wiring.....shouldnt cause a problem with it straight off the battery, as long as you put a fuse in.
jeez maiki, you could just call and ask [IMG]

yes you can run the stereo straight off the battery. best to use an inline fuse for protection. no it wont hurt your charging system.

i would use a relay in the line controlled by the ignition switch so that you don't run down the battery by leaving th eradio on overnite.
