Hi how hard would it be to put a early hemi in to a stock 28 DB coupe, what sort of work would be involved? Thanks

  2. Don't know but like the idea.

Depends on what Hemi a early Dodge is about the same size as a SBC.

There were at least two different 28 Dodges.

Fast Four has a very short hood, but a long cowl. But if the hemi is too wide, you can't set the engine into the cowl a bit.

Senior Six has a much longer hood, and a very short cowl.

  6. F&J is correct. We need to see a photo of the car or for you to tell us if it is a Senior Six, a Victory Six or a Standard Six. Then there is the 128 model.

Some years back at the CHRR, there was a 28 (ish) coupe with perfect patina, it had an early hemi engine in it, memory is fading but I think it was a Dodge hemi.
    It was soooo cool.

  12. Well, if I had that car I would look for something better to put a HEMI in. It is so nice the way it is. I know, you probably don't want to hear that, but I am a firm believer in leaving something as original as possible when in that condition.

I thought it had something to do with that guy that jumped out of a plane over the Columbia river with a big wad of money.
The FBI has stopped looking for him I see, maybe Mr. Couper will buy himself a DB.
