I've been lurking at the site for a long time (and posting too) but I've never formally introduced myself. I live in Los Angeles and I'm a big Studebaker guy. I've got a 60 Lark Hardtop, a 63 Wagonaire (changed to a 64) and a rare 66 Daytona Sport Sedan (with a 400 SBC, 700r4 tranny and a 79 Camaro front clip). There's some much to love about the H.A.M.B., but some of my favorite things are: The pictures of days gone by. Guys who take piles of rusty, abandoned junk and build them into the most incredible cars I've ever seen. Four doors into two doors. Barn finds (especially customs, rods and race cars from back in the day). The Studebakers. And man, can some people weld and fabricate! Holy shit!
Where in L.A. are you ? For a "newbie Stude nut", you sure seem to have a few on hand...! I've also got a few Stude's. 4 with a new one on the way, then one to leave the nest...! I'm in Covina (east of L.A.) if you ever want to talk. Mike
I'm in East L.A. - just east of downtown. I'm not really a Stude-newbie, just a newbie to the H.A.M.B. And not even that really, I just finally got around to introducing myself. Thanks for the welcome.
