hey so im thinking of finally bagging the front of my 63 merc comet instead of the old school tinkering with the spring. Will strut bags get the job done and does anyone know where to get decent priced ones? or bags with upper and lower cups? I want something relatively easy and cheap, i get too much time to work on my car cause i need it for work and school so hopefully ya guys can steer me in the right direction!

A strut bag will not work. Struts have solid mount lowers where as you would need your lower mount to pivot due to articulating suspension. Strutted cars do not articulate in the same manner as our old fords do.

Still the most affordable and reliable way to bag these suspensions is with an old fashioned air-bag.

i see, this would allow the whole wheel to pivot where needed when coming all the way down?
