I did a search and did not find any info that would answer my question. The question is, is there a vendor out there other than Speedway who has the intake, carb, linkage and anything else I may need to set up a 3 x 2 on my 39 flathead with Stromberg carbs? I saw that there are a few different types of carbs as well as far as CFM's. This is all new to me so any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks
There is no better vendor than Stromberg themselves. Look on their website for all the parts you might need. Our own Uncle Max is a superior repair tech recommended by Stromberg too. His info is also on their website.
Thanks all, I emailed Clive at Stromberg for info. I also think I may have confused some of you guys, I wasn't very clear. By carb kit I meant is there a vendor who sells the intake, with the carbs, kind of like a bolt on set up. I purchased the Super 6 set up from speedway then found out that there more trouble then there worth according to what I have read here. Ryan did a side by side comparison and found that the Speedway set up is poor quality compared to a Stromberg set up. I hope this clears up what I was looking for.
Yes, a carb kit is a small box filled with gaskets, and some small wear parts. You are looking for a complete intake setup. I still think you would be wise to make the purchase of carbs and all linkage and fuel lines from Stromberg. You can find intakes at a million places, but not as many sell the good Stromberg stuff.
Clive at Stromberg replied to my email this morning, I do plan on making the purchase from Stromberg. Thanks for all the help.
