I have a Stromberg CK527 2 barrel carb on my Plymouth. Does any one know if there is and where to get a repair manual for that carb. I know nothing about it, and I know mine needs some adjusting or a rebuild. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.
CK527 is probably some rebuilders code. It certainly is not a number used by Stromberg. Probably a type WW. Check your local library in the reference section for Motors manuals. Chrysler Corp used lots of Stromberg WW carbs. Jon.
You are right about it being a type WW. The CK527 number is what I found on the Stromberg web site. They have some manuals that you can download but not for the one I have.
It took a grand total of 30 seconds of searching to find this via Google. http://www.carburetor.ca/carbs/kits/CK527.htm The CK527 is the kit number and not the carb number. The carb number will be shown in the list on the right side of the above linked page. There are a couple of different manuals shown. http://www.carburetor.ca/carbs/tech/Stromberg/2barrel.html Actually three but the third one is for a GMC It's an easy carb to work on as long as you don't get heavy handed with it.
I went to www.carburetor.ca, they do have quite a lot of info there. But the manualsi seen didn't look like the one I have one my car. I may have to go look at my car again... Thanks for the info.
