Another year in the books, without a doubt it was the absolute best weather that I can remember having. I took quite a few pictures today so I'll continue to post them as I finish with the editing. First up I want to start with this 32 5 window built by the rolling bones. I've had the opportunity to look at a few of the their cars and they are doing things right. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but nothing appeals to me more than a bare bones hot rod. If anyone is looking, this 32 was for sale in the swap meet. I believe they had patch panels and frame rails for the car. The body was in pretty decent shape, it was a little rough along the bottom.
I was down there today and it was beautiful-low 80s, low humidity and a nice breeze. They recently extended the contract so it will be there until at least 2025 now... http://www.whas11.com/news/local/street-rod-nationals-to-remain-in-louisville-through-2025/462000677
i saw the gentlemans coupe . super nice and i spent plenty of time looking it over . also wandered thru early and butch patrick (eddy munster) was just kinda hanging out at his booth . chatted it up a bit ,nice dude but he has a big ol' melon
Thanks for the pix, I went but it is very hard to see all the cars as they are constantly on the move and it is a very big place. The one that got me was the Chevy trunk on display in the builders showcase, brown in color and WOW.
Well I just got back from Louisville, The weather was perfect for a car show. I heard a total of 10,133. Anyone hear who won the car?
Thanks for the pictures. I sold in the swap meet Thursday thru Saturday. Did okay, saw a lot of old pals and former customers. Always great when a guy comes back looking and maybe even buying again. As mentioned the weather couldn't have been much better. Returned home today...as most of you know there are rarely much Sunday swap meet traffic at these sort of meets.
Yep, the weather could not have been better. Temps not in the high nineties has to be a first. Another year after "the change" and the fear of over whelming late model junk has again failed to materialize. I probably saw one or two at the most. All that worrying and getting folks panties in a wad was for nothing. 50's and 60's car definitely rule. Interest in streetrods at the lowest I've ever seen it there prices are way down. Gary
