This car is on the East Coast, either N.Y. or N.J.. We are trying to get it for the America On Wheels Museum in Allentown Pa. to go on display in Jan.2010. I've seen pictures of it in a garage with alot of other cars, hope it works out, I would love to see it.

  6. just saw this bird last week. fortunatly it was covered in plastic

  7. From what I've seen in local press etc. this kinda thing happened sometimes down under after the war. Good U.S cars were hard to get so this was the next best thing.

  8. Glad to see it's the RARE split window '63. Gee I love Corvettes.

  9. I tend to disagree- wait.. No- it's definitely a 1963 Chevrolet Corvette.
    See? -the back windows..

We have a winner! Ford had show cars, GM had show cars, Chrysler had show cars, why shouldn't Nash-Kelvinator have a show car?
It was to promote the Metropolitan, and named "The AstraGnome".
It hides out at the Metro Museum in L.A.

This car TRIED to get into the Pileup. It didn't make it. I guess they didn't read the rules. FWIW, we couldn't figure out what it was either.
