On the bottom of the intake is that a add on for the heat to the intake or actually part of the headers for heat? From the pic it looks part of the rear header.

Three views of a 2x1 to 2x2 Edelbrock conversion soon to have 2 deuces on a '56 Chev. 235, Fentons, '62 overdrive, daily driver, etc. I spent 7 hours smoothing out the aluminum welds, but I'm not going for that super-shiny take care of me look, doesn't fit what I drive...........http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m177/49Cosmo/Ultramodernimprovement.jpg

Do you have any pictures of what you started with, and where did you get the adapter plates from?

Yes, some of the original Fenton headers came this way with the 'heat stove' part of the casting.

I also have a set of original Fentons without the heat stove, but with the pipe threads connection to the intake.

I have a Clifford 4bbl intake and a set of long tube headers for a 250..I'm kinda new to the I6 thing, but some people tell me I'm going to have problems not have heat to the intake. Some say I won't. Who's running heat and who's not?? What are the issues??

I guess I'll throw in a couple of my 216's.
My Thickstun dogbone is a little different from others I've seen. It has a mount for the Chevy truck horn on the rear carb riser instead of the vacuum line port, the port is located behind the carb.

My Weiand is an exact duplicate of the Edelbrock I'm running on my '50. Looks like it was cast in the same mold except for Weiand instead of Edelbrock.

Another manifold - this time a 4 barrell - is the "Kleindienst Eng". long runners, and takes a Rochester 4 barrell.

This is what I started with. The work was done by Steve who is the owner operator of Buffalo Engineering, a left coast Wash state guy. The welds were beautiful and gave me enough material to file and emory paper down to what you see now. This weekend I will post more pictures of the carbs on top with the linkage.

There was a set on Ebay a week or two ago. Went for about $415 if I remember right. I have seen them go for over $600 before.
