Since I've been into overly chopped cars lately, I started doing research for my Severely chopped coupes and sedans thread https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-severely-chopped-coupes-and-sedans-thread.1220105/ and i found a few pictures of the backwards chopped coupe and i'm just wondering if anybody knows the story on it? Who built it? Why? The why is easy, it was obviously chopped that way for aerodynamic reasons to run Bonneville and the dry lakes. but who knows the story behind it? It appears to have been sponsored buy Sta-Lube. I know it was owned my Moll-Hale back in the 50's but i'm now wondering if this wasn't the same car in it's next life. Posted by @The37Kid DSCF9269.JPG

Maybe I IMG_20210216_0001.jpg can get this one right. I`ll look thru the book and see if they mention it.

@stanlow69 are both of these coupes from the same book? I've seen it on Ebay many times, maybe now i'll pick up a copy.

The first is the Hot Rod Handbook from 1951. The second from Rodding and Restyling magazine. 1960. Yes, you need to get it. Not to many publications from 1951 ! IMG_20210218_0001.jpg
