I created a Facebook page called Stolen Hot Rod Alert. For those on Facebook, I think it's a good way to spread the word rapidly about a stolen vehicle. http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/pages/Stolen-Hot-Rod-Alert/160810187275487 I just did it quickly, so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Also, if you're able and willing to create some sort of profile picture that will attract attention, that would be welcomed!
I just "Like"d your page, and I'm sure with all the car guys on my friends list (mostly ex- and current Year One/Mustangs Unlimited employees), lots more will do the same. Good idea!
Like Actually a good idea. Enlarge the white border around the name. It looks like STOLEN OT RO ALERT. The text color is Amber, on purpose? Pretty cool of you to do.
Good idea..although im not into the "My Face" or the book tube..or what ever its called did that last staement give away my age..I will have my 12 Y.O. show me Face page...dam ,,i ment book tonight this is a cool Idea..Im not intending to make light of this..it is a serious problem and im glad there are ways to step up to the plate but still getting the word out is key
Good thinking. I'm not a facebooker, but my wife is and I'm amazed at how many people are reached so quickly. I think we just may find some of the stolen vehicles if we keep posting information at as many foroms as possible. Thanks
I was reading that stolen roadster thread, and someone in there suggested it... I originally created "Hot Rod Amber Alert" but didn't want there to be ANY confusion between the missing child alert and a missing car alert. Not to minimize the importance of a missing car, but... you know what I mean. Now I just have to figure out how to use this Mac to create a little icon....... should be easy, right?
Really good idea. It can't hurt to have another way to try to find stolen hotrods and let alot more people know about it
Just "liked"it....another way to reach folks about stolen cars....that's good....you do need to fix the Profile Pic....yeah Props to you for doing it....
Pictures, vin numbers, location where stolen and include the event they were at(car show--Cruise ect) and all information possible to assist in recovery.
