  2. Man I saw those parts but all the prices were too rich for my blood. Glad I didn't buy any of your parts. I would love to put a bullet right through car thieves eyes!!! Treat them like the old horse thieves. That would put the fear in a few up and coming thieves. I remember when I grew up. In my neighborhood , everyone would have their cars idling on the streets unlocked as they waited in their house for the car to warm. We all knew it was their car and not ours and would never think about taking them.

That's sad. It was a great looking ride.

I am new to the turn of events!! I am very glad that the 36 was found in mostly complete fashion. I am sick of hearing how the owners had to do the leg work of law enforcement. Nothing new here, but a well armed citizenry of opened eyes is hard to beat!!

Unfortunately the courts in Wa state treat car theft as being a less than important crime.

Going through the guys feedback it doesn't appear that he was in the habit of breaking down cars and selling off the pieces though. Most of his stuff looks like it was out of a car sterio store.

Received an email yesterday that the coupe has been recovered. Located in a Spokane Valley garage where it was partially dismantled. 2 perps arrested and charged. The soon to be son-in-law of the Doctor who owned the car led the investigation and was ultimately responsible for the recovery. Very nice ending

Glad to hear the 36' was recovered! I get sick to my stomach seeing theses posts about peaple getting their cars stolen and never recovered, it's nice to see someone get theirs back in almost one piece.

  19. Happy ending to a story that typically ends poorly!
The news show it in pieces...how much was recovered?

Wish I lived closer. I would be happy to stop in and help Doc put that thing back together. Come on HAMBers get a work party together.

Will the perps be required to pay restitution, as in the costs of reassembling the car to the condition it was in prior to being stolen?

Glad the car is back with its rightful owners. :)
