So i bought this 1957 A1 392 hemi block in an auction for $150.00 with no caps. I took a chance and had it magnafluxed and it checked out with no cracks. It still has the stock bore size and no pitting in the cylinders. I just recently got some caps for $200 and im going to have it align bored and i got a quote for $400 to do the work. My question is should i try and keep the block the stock bore size if i wanted to run a loose underdriven blower? Im not wanting to run tons of boost just wanting to have a cool street driven blown hemi. Im having trouble finding aftermarket 4.00 pistons. Any input from you guys would be great. Also is $400 about standard for align boring? IMG_20180825_193738_999.jpg 20180829_195854.jpg 20180829_195731.jpg

There is little or nothing to be gained by boring a street driven engine. Other than bragging rights. If the bores are straight and good, run it. Arias or Ross or any race piston maker can supply pistons.
