Technical STILL TOO HOT!

  1. that is the radiator core to the left of the fan "shroud"....my eye sight is 20-20

    Ok, my take, remove that funky fan blade guard, install a steel 6 bladed fan, and make sure the fan is as close to the radiator as possible, as now it looks about 2" away from it.
     
  3. Back to basics, was it running cooler before the rebuild? If so then it's not the fan, shroud, timing or radiator cap but something that was touched. Sticky thermostat, air in the system or something went wrong with the rebuild itself and water is not circulating. Can you feel temp difference between upper and lower hose after t-stat opens, you should see the opening point at your gauge, is it happening?
