Kinda of late to be posting this but from the beginning here are some pics of progress to now.. this is the first project thread i have ever posted on the hamb so bare with me.. found the body in Minnesota and sold it to a guy off the Hamb.. Bought it back from the same Hamber in Tulsa i sold it too.. so when i went up to the Hamb Drags in Mokan i decided to haul it back in the ol 57. Made about 10 mpg!.. but no probs there and back!

I was gonna do a super t10 4 speed but my hotrod buds kinda made me lean more towards a turbo 400.. I have always been a 4 speed guy but i figure i would try something different. I figured that a trans break would be fun behind a long rodded blown 406 and i want to take this thing to the track and get the best et i can get.. So i had to redo the tubing on my X-member where my trans goes... so i should have plenty of room still if i wanted to swap back to a 4 speed..

Got my Hurst slicks in the first of last week and they are sweet! I love the look on a 8 inch wide rim.. the old rocket mags are 7 inches wide but they are just for mock up.. i plan on running a ET mag on the rear..

Got the Body back from the blaster and put in etch primer asap before i have my paw prints all over it! now it time to fit the body onto the frame.. Also found this setup from Flip on here on the hamb and bought it from him.. i have been looking for awhile for one of these for awhile so i figure i would snag it up.. 6 48's that Keith Tardal built.. looks like he does nice linkage work! should look good on top a 8-71 for a Hat!

Nice, I can't wait to see this one come together! BTW there's nothing wrong with a good auto. I love my reverse manual valve body 400. I got a brake too but I haven't got a chance to use it yet. Keep up the good work.

Nice chassis. One question, did you kick the rear of the frame up a little and if so, how much? In one of the early photos it looked as if one rail was modified, the other not. Just wondering, Gary

Got my frame all welded and fully boxed over the weekend.. and put the body on chassis.. its gonna be alot of work fitting the body just right on frame.. never done a duece frame before with an A body on it ! but i can figure it out and tackle it!.. i'm think the the body needs to come up in the rear about 2 inches even with the body line.. but i dunno until i get the engine and trans in it to wait it down... we will see...

Very cool! I dig it un-chopped......must be the East-coaster in me. :)

Yeah, I'd say the rear needs to come up a bit to center the wheels in the wells.

    Looks great though!

Raised the ass 2 inches... i like the radius of the rear tub well right even with the tire.. and also thought about rendering the rear of the cars bumber about 2 to 3 inches higher.. with a 6 inch chop!

I'm running a quarter stick. It works perfect.

Are you going to run modern slicks at the track? I tried launching on my Radirs and it just spins. That was leaving at 2500 and foot braking it.

    I like the 6" chop!

Yeah i will run tru slicks at the track.. prob some 29x10.0 these hurst tires i have now beleive it or not are pretty sticky but i'm sure they will still spin with a jerk of the trans brake

Got the idea of how i want to do my mounts.. here is a pic of them just tacked up and not fully finished out.. Also thinking about doing an engine cage with a crossover bar in between the blower pulley and intake when i get to that stage of building a cage for it..
