stewart warner tach wiring?

    have an early stewart warner tach trying to find wiring diagram not having any luck hope someone out there can help. thanks

    That early tach takes a sending unit that goes between the distributor and the cap. That and the cable that hooks it up are hard to find. What do you want to run it on? I can supply you a picture of the parts you need if you want. Have a great day Gary

    Here's the wiring for a Sun. I think SW is the same, anyway hope it helps.

    I do the job for my winged Logo and curved glass 8k tach !
    Off the Crankshaft
    Using;
    Brand new Pegasus' Mechanical Tach drive 2:1 ratio + 12V SW electric sender (marine)
    I've tested it with a 12V battery and a measured Drill at 1450rpm
    Face dial indicates less than 1500rpm
    Then all of these parts works together !... ;)

    your tach gen looks like mine,,one brass screw is labelled BLK wi black wire,, the other two have no labeling,, one is green ,one is white, 3 pin plug on tach gen has 2 pins closer then one farther away,, identical plug on tach, studebaker site sez they are early stereo plugs,, can anyone tell me how to connect these two,, which wire to which,, studie sez one black wire to ground in dash other black to 12 on access side of ign switch,, any help please,,, thanks buck
