I’ve got the problematic Stewart Warner wings electrical Speedo in my 32. I’ve just fitted their gps sender after problems with the mechanical one (didn’t work. POS). It works insofar as it sends a pulse. However, the speedo is reading way high. I’m wondering if trying to calibrate the speedo using the button and drive a mile method may have changed the calibration in the speedo head from 8000 ppm to something else. is there a way to reset the speedo to factory so I know I have the right starting point? thanks
I went round and round with Stewart Warner electric speedos. My 3rd one finally works correctly, except for the odometer jambed at 700 miles. I used a Classic instruments Skydrive to power the speedo, after miserable results with Stewart Warner and their so called "tech line". I have come to realize that the Stewart Warner of today is a far cry from the excellent Stewart Warner of years gone by. I will us Classic instruments from now on
