Trying to find what model of 50-60's cars came with the steering wheel that had a Deep center section (as in the badge was about 7-8" in fron the face of the wheel, kinda space age looking.... Anyone.? Cheers MKK
60 Buicks, LeSabre, Invicta, Electra etc. Here is a pic, not the best to show the steering wheel, but you can tell that it is deep.
59 Oldsmobile was probably the deepest and spacey looking. Those cars also had a speedometer that turned 4 different colours as you went faster finally becoming red about 90 or 95 if memory serves.
I've got a MAD obsession for the 58 Chevy wheel.....it's flat and wide enough to lay my arm cross ways on it. Hey Mai, if you're going to ditch the one in the Holden...........can I have it! That thing is SO sexy! xxx
This one is for the Model A Project i'm planning....have found a dash i like and need a deep wheel to go with it..hehe The Holden Wheel will get a Metallic WHite Proper spray this year.... =]
Okay, since I'm all about the Pontiac's......here's MY offer. 1960 Pontiac Catalina. Pontiac also produced colored AND clear wheels from 1960-1968. If ya look REAL close at the last pic, you'll see that this wheel is also half clear on the top and bottom! eww ahhh eww ahh...okay I win the coolness award.
