I have an early 70's GM tilt column, I'm looking at a 61 Buick steering wheel. I have not gone as far as to do any measurements yet. Off the top of your collective heads, any idea if it will fit??????

Sorry the latest column I used an older wheel was a 72 Chev truck non-tilt with a 63 Chevy car wheel.

Fit perfect and by using the 72 plastic piece that goes under the wheel for horn contact...even the horn will work.

My guess is that at least the splines are the same???

bump for the afternoon crowd ideas

EDIT, I also just fit a 41-48 Chev car wheel on another 72 Chev truck splined shaft and the spline matched perfectly...Maybe they continued the same spline up to your mid 70s column.
