Can anyone tell me if the taper angle of the steering arms of a 40's Ford are the same as those of a 30's Mopar?
I need to replace the original worn out tie rod ends on the 36 Dodge double dip tube front end (replacements cost about $80 each before shipping and import duty), so i was thinking of swapping to cheaper generic Ford items.

Go to Moog , look up your application, then go to spec chart ,
Then you can search to see that tapper ,

I don't know about the Moparts, but the Fords are 7 degrees taper.

The threads on the 35 and up tie rod ends are also 11/16 so that might be a bit of an oddity also ...most I believe are 5/8
