Steering column help

I'm in SoCal and I need help finding someone to sell me a steering column for a Chevy pickup I'm building. There used to be a guy who sold rebuilt columns at the Long Beach Swap meet. Does anybody have a number for him or another business specializing in columns? I'm looking for possibly an early '70's van column and it has to be short....28-30". Any info or leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

 

I've never seen one wear out, sometimes a tilt gets loose, but other than that, why not just go to a pick-a-part and pull one? GM in particular are pretty universal. Unless you want one without a key switch/lock on it or something special.

 

I had a business called Columns by Larrry. i rebuilt tilt columns. i still do some. what do u need??
