What is a good steering colum angle? I am building a cowl steering set up and depending on the angle of the box determines how much pedal space I have. So any input would help.

  2. I have just been doing the very same,
Depends on the wheel you are fitting and how low you are sitting,
I ended up at about forty degrees above horizontal,
but I have a ten inch wheel and am sat as low as I can get.
Only way to do it is sit in there and try where the wheel feels right.

It's all a compromise. You need to mock up as much as you can. You might find you can't achieve your ideal steering wheel angle because you need more space for pedals or you need to sit higher than you would like to provide more leg room. You just got to shuffle stuff around till it's the best you can manage.
