Hot Rods Steering Box, what is it?? photos

    got this with a bunch of other stuff but it's stuck. it looks like it might work pretty sweet.. but where'd it come from?

    That is def 67 older zf bus box i have one in my a coupe.and just bought another for my new coupe.

    Agree, VW bus. They cut off a good amount of the side mounting flange from what I can see. I am using an early 50s Ross VW bus box and I am thinking the bracket should be like mine: Two bolts from the bottom and then 3 more at the side of the frame.
     
  6. Steering Box, what is it??

    It's the thing that attaches to the steering wheel so that when you turn it, the wheels go left or right. But that's not important right now.

    I have one in the back of the shop. I was going to toss it out.I bought it 30 years ago I didn't remember what I bought it for. Thanks !
