Is there going to be a food vendor at the track?
If not, we'll need to eat lunch before we go in.
My Buddy from Gafney told me about Bridges Barbecue - It's about 14 miles from the track. He said it was really good. But if there is going to be some lunch at the track, we'll just go thar.

hope this turns into a every year big event for us in the southeast hope this thing really grows and hopefully get some of the kids off the rice and back on early tin everyone have a safe trip i know thre will be some cool customs and early hotrods there

 

Fuel will be avaliable and the concession stand will be open on Saturday.

 

Racing fuel + mini bikes = entertainment.

 

For those interested.

The Iron Lords and friends will be meeting at our shop and we will be leaving promptly at 8am. Feel free to meet at the shop and tag along.

We are all rolling from Buford Ga at 8am also. Got a good pack of cars and a bike rollin north. Looking forward to it! My trunk and seats are stuffed full why? Its just one night - at the end of the world.

Got my car slapped together enough to drive to the Iron Lords Lair. Too big of a pile to make the trek to shelby. See you all in the morning!

Been workn on the truck the last few days fighting an overheating problem and a NASTY exhaust leak. Crakn the coffee and Cruisn with the Lords!! SOOO Fuckn stoked!

Gentlemen start your engines! Got a little sleep last night - one of the dogs got the runs at 3am - wouldn't ya just know it.

 

Got up this morning and put the seats and carpet back in. Decided to put my big boy pants on and drive the sucker with the iron lords.

First one here, what do I win?

 

knocked off work early on friday got my touring car out and ready to roll then about 7pm friday night the calls start every damn one of the guys that were gonna roll backed out now this just sucks

 

Little T was going to make it, but we had a family emergency. Well try next year.

 

Dammit, soccer practice went way long.......too late to make it now. Someone post pic.s! I heard someone rolled their truck on the track already!

Totally shitty day for me!

Left Greensboro after my daughters recital at 3. Was making good time when i notice a guy driving next to me pointing at my front tire. Sure enough! Front driver side is going flat. I was between Lowell and Gastonia and it was 4:30

Pull off the highway and find a parking lot to change the tire.

4 of the lugs came off, and the 5th has one of those key lock lugs...fker wont budge. Give up after a half hour and call AAA.

First truck shows up...does have a lug wrench that will work. They call for a different truck and he shows up...at 7:15

He cant get it. Notices that the nut looks like its cracked and the key wont stay in to loosen the nut...so he fills me with air and i head to the nearest store to get a tire plug set.

The plug goes in, but doesnt stop the leak completely...so back to the parts store to get some fix a flat. It slows the leak, but its still hissing out a bit.

So by now its around 8;30...almost dark and by the time i get there, the drags would probably be finished, and too dark to see the cool cars. My tire would be flat in the morning...so i throw in the towel and head home. Had to stop every 30 mins to fill up the tire.

Got home at 11:15

So pissed off right now. Planned for this event for 3 months.
