Thanks to Curtis and company for turning a gloomy event around. Weather was great Friday, shitty Saturday till about 4 and bad ass the rest of the night. View from the Highway in the 52 Pictures of the first gas fill up. My buddy Albro driving his mutt. Not my style but this truck gets driving, and not trailered. Friday weather was nice all day long. I hate that all I had was my cell phone for pics and a quickly dying battery on the phone.
This Kid Gets the "weather won't keep me down " Award. His dad Dave gets Father of the year award. He was the one man pit crew. If he wasn't changing tires he was topping off the gas, or installing the chain. Now on Friday while the sun was out the cars were out. Enjoy some racing eye candy.
Now the weather on Saturday was more off than on till the afternoon. This fella had all he could stand (rain that is) by about 12. I think this fella has some illegal nitrous. This guy was wanting some in his moped.
I will tell you now I did not get no where near the amount of pics I wanted, nor did I capture the talent of cars, nor the Cool factor of the rides there. My battery was dead while circling the Iron Lords Camp (thanks JJ for the shirt.) Got to shake hands with Boobie who I never met, wanted to call him Bobby. The Sock Fuckers were on hand and again I can not prove it as my camera was shot. Here is the rest of what I did take.
Let me do you a favor. If this guys asks you to race, kindly decline. This tudor was scary fast, and had nitrous. He can tote the front left wheel for a while when launching.
Hey Andy.I saw the picture of my sleeping in the chair. I was just trying to keep the flys off of yall.lol.Ricky
H r p. It was parked close to the gargoyles compound. Might want to pm Curtis. Very cool indeed. Maybe someone has pictures of the polished and red one.
Great to finally meet you, Andy! The 52 looks sweet! We'll have to spend a little more time next round...maybe in MB! Sent from my DROID device using the TJJ mobile app
not nitrous at all that's oxygen and the man is D D from rock hill hes been driving his 49 for a lot of years and one of the nicest guys youll ever meet. He still does a few things the old fashion way and is fun letting him talk about how it used to be. Glad to see him getting around. No bad intended RED
Even with the weather Saturday I had a ball! Me and my little cousin are the only 2 in our bunch of guys that like traditional hot rods. Most of them like the credit card gold chain cars. The great thing about HAMB type of gatherings is when you walk up to look at a car, the owner does'nt jump up and make sure you don't touch his car or he gives you that please stay back 5 foot stare! the only reason the guys saturday would get up Saturday was to offer us a seat or shelter or just talk about cars. It was a great time and I just needed to get this off my chest, sorry for the long rant, Jacky. P.S. Many thanks to the Geargoyles and the rest of the guys and good luck on the weather next year, can't wait!
What a great time, the rain gave us a good couple of hours of "BENCH RACING" before the racing and it also kept the heat down!! All in all,, a great show and a trip well worth the thrashing I it took to get me there!! Posted from the TJJ App for iPhone & iPad
Great show...looking forward to next year. A semi annual would be welcome. Thanks to all who continue to make this happen! Like the new location.
Looks like you guys had a great time and some great looking rides Hate I had to miss it but I could not get home in time to make it. Hope work don't keep me a way next year.
