    Will a starter from a 47 chevy 3/4 ton. Fit in my 46 1 1/2 ton 235 in my wrecker. Which is not a original egine? Thx Wreckerman

    How could we know? you didn't tell us what the replacement engine is, or if it's a 6V or 12V starter. Pictures would help. If the starters still have the Delco tags with the part number, that would help too.

    But if the engine were original, the two starters would interchange, according to the Chevy parts book all the Chevys use the same starter from 1938-1948

    Yes. it should fit, with plenty of room for tools, beer, and a spare tire.
  4. I'd go for the basic pyramid stacking myself, but only as high as the back window for safety's sake.
