It occurred to me that as I work a little at a time, I could put the pictures on line as I went. The first 140 and growing from Saturday at the track are here: http://jimmarlett.zenfolio.com/p225516781 Friday's have been up for a while here: http://jimmarlett.zenfolio.com/p866762642 I tried saving some badly exposed and out of focus pictures by using fancy artwork-like filters. Sorry for being so non-artsy, but it was in the trash with them otherwise.
Wow, Jim, great pix! I almost swallowed my gum when I saw that '64 Dodge, it looks so much like the orignal "Storm King". The I realized it had the Hemi style grill. I especially love the baby blue Dodge truck with it's nose in the air. Usually overplayed by the gasser wannabe's, the factory backed original with a 426 in it ran B/MP and looked very much like that one. Great shots all! Thanks...
Jim, I've said it before, if you ever decide to build a car and race it, we will all miss the great pictures that you take. It seems to get better and better every year. Thanks, Robert
Thanks for posting these pics. I'm bummed I couldn't make it. Will be sure to be there (this/next?) year.
What an awesome grass roots style event! I'm convinced there would be world peace if everyone just hit the drag strip and did a killer burn out through the water box..... Sweet..
I believe there will be world peace, if everyone just drag the bar to play and did a killer burn water out of the box .....
