Artie lund, "spook" was laied to rest today. Very well known in the san antonio, tx. Aera. Has painted many drag boats, funny cars, rods, scooters over the past 40 years! R.i.p. Spook.
Spook had a "reputation". One time at the Austin car show he made a comment that I wasn't a "real' pinstriper because I was doing a splash graphics on a mini truck. That's what everyone wanted back in the 90's. Afterwards I did a colorful traditional design on the back of a 39 Chevy coupe. He was converted once he saw that I knew what i was doing and that there was ten other cars waiting in line for stripes. I told him that it doesn't matter what they want, just put on a show and make money. Still, I respect him for being one of our hot rod forefathers. His son Rainman is one helluva painter.
