Speedy Bill Smith's wife of '60 years, Joyce Smith passed away yesterday, Sun Aug 4, 2013. H.A.M.B.ers might want to send Bill and family a card @ 340 Victory Lane, Lincoln, Ne. 68528
I was talking to Jason, their son on Friday and he said she was back in the hospital and not doing well at all. He somewhat jokingly said they always thought his dad would have issues long before his mom, that she would probably live to 100 R.I.P Joyce.
Was just on their site looking for parts and they have a tribute banner up for her. Looked to be good people and I feel for the family. Cancer is evil, and I would not wish it on anyone. Kudos to those who have fought it and won. Condolences to the Speed Bill Family.
Rip. lived a long good life. Thoughts are with the speedway family Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Wow, 60 years of marriage......good for them. Sorry to hear of her passing, Bill must really be hurting over his loss. RIP. Don
What a nice lady. I met her during a tour she gave of their amazing pedal car collection. Condolences to the entire Smith family on their loss.
May God welcome her into the Kingdom. Prayers of strength and understanding for the family during this time of loss.
I've bitched about Speedway products in the past because I can be an ass. But that news is just not good anyway you slice it. Great men usually have great women with them.......
I have lost several friends and family to cancer, it's never easy, regaurdless of how they pass, prayers sent.
MAY SHE REST IN PEACE. Peggy & Bob send our condolences out to Bill & family We met Mrs Smith while on tour of their place while on America cruise in 2000. Peggy & I were on the top floor ,which is like an ice cream parlor having a refreshment & she came over introduces herself & ask if she could join us. We sat there & chatted for quite a while. It made us feel like one of the family or a close neighbor. I shall never forget how gracious she was. So sorry to hear of her passing, the world will miss her.
She and Bill have always been more than gracious to me. I'll miss her cheery face around the store and museum...so sorry to hear of this.
60 years is a long time to have a companion and then to loose them. My prayers go out to Bill and his family.
